Environment Canada reminds residents to protect themselves from lightning
It has not been an ideal summer for residents of the Peace Country weather as the region has received plenty of rain and thunderstorms.
July was an above average month for rainfall in Grande Prairie as the City received 88.4 mm of rain.
The month also featured a number of thunderstorms and as a result Environment Canada is reminding residents to make sure they are prepared and protect themselves from lightning.
“The big thing is to keep your eye out for is lightning,” stated Meteorologist for Environment Canada Dan Kulak.
