AHS’ mobile mammography unit coming to Spirit River

Alberta Health Services will be bringing their mobile mammography trailer to the community of Spirit River.

It will be stationed at Central Peace Health Complex on Sept. 3-6 and Sept. 9-13.

A mammogram has proven to be the most effective way to detect breast cancer and early detection allows for a greater number of options for treatment and a better chance of survival.

Women ages 50-74 are the age group most at risk to developing breast cancer.
