Dayton Sutherland Closing In on Battle of the Rockies Title

Dayton Sutherland is one good run away from his second straight Battle of the Rockies title.

The Grande Prairie driver put up a 12th place finish on Saturday night, to stretch his aggregate lead at the WPCA event in Rocky Mountain House to 1.19 seconds over fellow Swan City resident Chanse Vigen, who finished 15th on the night.

Luke Tournier earned day money on Saturday, followed by Mark Sutherland and Vern Nolin.

The final go-around in Rocky Mountain House is set for Sunday afternoon. After those races, the top 12 drivers on the season will be determined.
