Grande Peace Athletic Club set for Bantam Fall camp

Aug 23, 2019 | 10:32 AM

The Grande Peace Athletic Club will begin their Bantam Fall camp Friday night at the Coca-Cola Centre.

Head Coach of the Bantam AAA squad, Mike Brown explains how this weekend will be extremely competitive due to the high number of players signed up for the camp.

“The last number I got from Ryan, our Technical Director, had kids at 85. It should be a good mix between 2005 and 2006 born players.”

Last year was not the greatest for the Bantam AAA Storm as they finished the campaign with a 5-26-2 record and were 5 points short of making the playoffs.

However, as Brown shared with EverythingGP, last year was still successful despite the record.

“Kids developed well last year and were just looking to build on that. To me a successful season has every kid enjoying coming to the rink every day and working hard. If we can be successful in that right and develop, the wins will come.”

Registration for Bantam Fall camp is Friday night at 4:30 p.m.

The camp will wrap up with the annual Stan Neufeld game which is set for Sunday at 2:15 p.m.
