Storm conclude B.C road trip on winning note

Aug 26, 2019 | 7:40 AM

The Grande Prairie Storm got back in the win column Sunday afternoon and got a little revenge against the BCHL’s Trail Smokeeaters.

Following their 6-3 loss Saturday, the Storm bounced back with a 4-3 win Sunday to finish their B.C road trip with a 2-1 record.

Kaden Lane was superb in between the pipes for the Storm in the win.

He stopped 31 of 34 shots.

Rookie Jackson Savoie had a breakout performance in the victory as well.

Savoie found the back of the net three times.

The Storm will now return to the Swan City for a few days before they hit the road to Westlock on Friday for a neutral site game against the Bonnyville Pontiacs.

Grande Prairie will play their lone home pre-season game on September 5 when they host the Whitecourt Wolverines.
