The defending champions managed to hold on to their crowns at the Canadian Men’s and Master Men’s Fast Ball championships, which wrapped up Sunday at South Bear Creek.

The Galway Hitmen held off the Sooke Loggers from BC 10-7 in the Men’s final, marking the seventh time in the last eight years that a team from Newfoundland has won the national title.

The host PVI Pirates lost to the Hitmen in the quarterfinal earlier in the day.

The Master Men’s title went to the Saskatoon 222’s, who defended their crown by defeating the House of Floor Installers from BC 9-2 in the championship game.

The Host CJC Master Pirates finished third in the tournament after losing to the Installers in the semi final.
