It may only be the pre-season, but the Storm just keep on rolling as they prepare for the new season.

The Storm handed the rival Whitecourt Wolverines their first loss of the exhibition schedule, shutting them out 4-0 at the Scott Safety Centre on Tuesday night.

The Storm potted two goals in the opening frame and two in the third, outshooting the Wolverines 31-14 in the game. The Storm goals came from Nathan Morgan, Ethan Strang, Brody Dale and Grande Prairie native Sheldon Kwiatkowski. Kwiatkowski appeared in five games with the Wolverines last season.

The Storm now sit at 4-1 on the pre-season, with wins over the BCHL’s Vernon Vipers and Trail Smoke Eaters, as well as the Bonnyville Pontiacs last Friday in Westlock.

Coming in, the Wolverines had earned wins over the Drayton Valley Thunder and two over the Sherwood Park Crusaders.

The Storm and Wolverines will meet at Revolution Place Thursday night to close out the Storm’s exhibition schedule. Puck drop tomorrow night is at 7:30.
