A town in northern Alberta says bear-related complaints are skyrocketing.
Fish and Wildlife officials in Slave Lake have received 166 bear-related complaints so far this year.
They got just 59 in all of 2018.
Bears have been seen in backyards, sports fields and knocking down apples right near people’s homes.
