Body of missing Saskatchewan man found near Red Deer River

Sep 12, 2019 | 3:17 PM

The body of a Saskatchewan man missing since the weekend has been found in a central Alberta river.

RCMP in Sundre say Terrance Kereluke disappeared on Saturday morning while out for a walk near the Mountain Aire Lodge in Clearwater County.

Staff from the lodge first searched the surrounding area before RCMP officers with police dogs took over.

Search-and-rescue personnel, a helicopter crew and fire services joined the next day.

Police say Kereluke’s body was found Wednesday afternoon near a shore of the Red Deer River.

The cause of death has yet to be determined, but it’s not believed the death was criminal in nature.
