Grande Prairie truck driver sentenced to two years for fatal 2017 crash

A truck driver has been sentenced to two years for a causing a 2017 crash in northern Alberta that killed a man.
Tyrel Burton of Grande Prairie, Alta., had pleaded guilty to dangerous driving causing death and dangerous driving causing bodily harm.
Queen’s Bench Justice Davide Gates also banned Burton from driving for three years.
Court heard that Burton crashed his tractor-trailer unit into a lineup of vehicles stopped at a red light in Fort McMurray.
