Charges dropped against school bus driver who struck two students in Edmonton

The Crown has dropped a charge against the driver of a school bus that struck two teenage girls in west Edmonton.

The 13-year-old students were hit last March as they tried to cross a road.

One of the students suffered a shattered hip, fractured skull and a broken jaw.

The driver, 44-year-old Hung Duong, was charged with careless driving.

The government says the charge was withdrawn because there was no likelihood of a conviction.
