Rough start to road trip for Storm

Oct 5, 2019 | 7:40 AM

Not a lot…… if anything……. went right for the Grande Prairie Storm on Friday night.

The Storm kicked off a three game in three day road trip through the South division with a 6-0 loss to the Okotoks Oilers.

The Storm found themselves in a 3-0 hole less than eight minutes into the first period on goals by Seth bernard-Docker, Marc Pasemko and Eric Parker.

The Parker goal chased Storm starting goaltender Kaeden Lane from the net, having allowed the three goals on just 5 shots.

After a scoreless second period, Bernard-Docker would add his second of the night in the third period, while Noah Kim and Blake Jacques also found the back of the net behind Lars Kaliel to round out the scoring.

At the opposite end, the Storm could only manage 15 shots on Okotoks goalie Ashton Abel, while the combo of Lane and Kaliel faced 49 Okotoks shots on the night.

The Storm will look to bounce back on Saturday night when they continue their road trip in Drumheller against the Dragons.
