GPRC Women’s volleyball is 2-0 to start the season after a three game sweep over Keyano (25-17, 29-27, 25-23) on Saturday.

Leah Friesen led the way with 16 points (11 kills, 2 blocks, 3 service aces), while Meagan Warner added 13 points (12 kills, 1 block) for the Wolves.

Unfortunately, that was the lone bright spot for GPRC teams on Saturday.

Men’s volleyball was swept in three by the Huskies (25-22, 25-21, 25-22).

Sidney Schellenberg led the Wolves with 12 points (10 kills, 2 blocks).

Both basketball teams lost to NAIT, 102-78 in the men’s game and 86-34 in the women’s game.

Liam O’Hallahan had 29 points to lead the men in scoring, while Jeannie Borger led the women with 12 points.

And both soccer teams were blanked 3-0 by Concordia.
