John D’or woman charged with Fort Vermilion murder

Fort Vermilion RCMP are investigating a murder.

Mounties say they were called to a home in that community at 10:30 on Thursday night.

A man’s body was found on scene, where a suspect was also arrested.

Twenty-nine-year old Sandra Wapoose of John D’or Prairie is facing a charge of first-degree murder.

The victim has been identified as 57-year-old Barry Lizotte of Fort Vermilion.

Wapoose will stay in custody until a court appearance on November 5.
