Gardner wins second-straight CFR all-around title

Dawson Creek’s Jacob Gardner won the all-around title for the second year in a row at the Canadian Finals Rodeo.

He also finished eighth in the Canadian standings and eighth in the CFR aggregate in bull riding.

Fort St. John’s Stephen Culling wound up second in both the CFR aggregate and the final Canadian standings in steer wrestling behind Scott Guenther. Clayton Moore of Pouce Coupe wound up eighth in Red Deer and on the year across Canada.

In saddle broncs, Jake Watson from Hudson’s Hope wound up sixth in Canada and seventh at the CFR.

Sexsmith’s Lee Rombough finished 12th in both the overall tie-down roping standings and the CFR aggregate.

The 46th edition of the Canadian Finals Rodeo wrapped up Sunday in Red Deer.

The other event champions included:
