March snowfall totals nearly 50 cm for the City

The month of March started off with a roar and will conclude in the same fashion.
So far this month, Grande Prairie has received a total of 49.3 cm of snow.
Since the start of last week, 37.8 cm of snow has fallen, as a reminder that winter isn’t over just yet, even with Spring officially arriving 10 days ago.
According to meteorologists, warmer weather is expected to return by the middle of April.
Environment Canada says March will end on a cold note in Grande Prairie. Today’s forecast high is minus 11, with windchills around minus 30 today and tomorrow.
