UPDATE: Freezing rain warning ended for Grande Prairie, Peace Country

UPDATE (12:38 p.m. Friday): Environment Canada has ended the freezing rain warning for the Grande Prairie, Beaverlodge and Valleyview areas.

The warning has also been pulled from the Peace River, Manning, Faireview and Grande Cache areas.

Be careful as you get ready to hit the roads Friday morning, as Environment Canada has issued a freezing rain warning for the Grande Prairie, Beaverlodge and Valleyview areas.

The warning is also in place for the areas around Peace River, Fairview. High Prairie, Manning, Grande Cache and Slave Lake.

The weather office says the freezing rain may be a bit patchy to start, but could get heavier as the morning progresses.

Highways, roads, sidewalks and other surfaces may be slick because of the freezing rain, so plan ahead and take caution ahead of your commute this morning. Check 511 Alberta for the most update highway conditions in the area.
