Woman killed in crash near Salt Prairie

High Prairie RCMP say a 24-year-old woman was killed and another woman was taken to hospital after a car-semi collision on November 8.

It happened around 1:30 a.m. on Highway 750 near Salt Prairie.

Mounties say the car the two women were in was going northbound into oncoming traffic when it collided head-on with the semi.

The 24-year-old driver died at the scene. Her name will not be released.

Police add road conditions were very poor at the time because of ice.

The investigation continues.
