A’s, Canucks put perfect records on the line in Dawson Creek

Nov 28, 2019 | 9:19 AM

The only remaining unblemished records in the North Peace Hockey League are on the line tonight, as the Grande Prairie Athletics will make the trip across the border to tangle with the Canucks in Dawson Creek in the lone game in the league Thursday.

The A’s come in at 5-0, while the Canucks enter with a perfect 3-0 start to the 2019-20 season.

One possible advantage the Canucks hold coming into tonight’s tilt is their goal scoring ability. The team has found the back of the net 23 times through their first three games (nearly an eight goal per game average) and boast the league’s top scorer in Brett Norman.

Norman is off to a blistering start to the season, already with four goals and four assists. He does sit tied atop that list with GP’s Tanner Labbe and Manning’s Darren Kramer (two goals and six helpers each), but Norman has played two fewer games.
