The County of Grande Prairie JDA Kings have won back to back games for just the second time this season.

Darby Berg’s goal at the 3:06 mark of overtime gave the Kings a 2-1 win in Fairview.

Keaton Mercredi also scored for the Kings, while Deklan Whillans replied for the Flyers.

Elsewhere in the NWJHL on Saturday, Dawson Gour and Cole Isaac each scored twice as the North Peace Navigators got by the Sundown Oilfield Services Sexsmith Vipers 7-1.

Robert Lemay, Cole Ford and Jonathan Noskey also scored for the Navigators, while Jordan Bartlett replied for the Vipers.

And in Fort St John, Gary Loewen scored twice to pace the league leading Huskies to a 7-4 win over the Dawson Creek Junior Canucks.

Cooper Willms, Joel Bourgeois, Jared Winkel, Cayden Frenette and Alex Nimmo also scored for the Huskies, while Braden Streich, Carter Macki, Dex Elders and Mason McLeod replied for the Junior Canucks.

There was just one game in the North Peace Hockey League on Saturday, as Darren Kramer’s second of the night with 2:37 remaining gave Falher a 5-4 win over Grimshaw.

Morgan Maclean, Jay Anderson and Dakota Conroy also scored for the Pirates, who have now won three straight.

Tyler Brenner scored twice for the Huskies, while Corson Fairless and Logan Putio added singles.

The Ernie’s Sports Experts Major Midget Storm were the only GPAC team to pick up a win on Saturday, as they beat Lloydminster 4-1 at the AMHL Showcase event.

Nolan Flint, Devin Aubin, Tye Evans and Ethan Boutcher scored for the Storm, who will face Lethbridge at 10 am Sunday morning.

Carter Kreller had the lone goal for the Boston Pizza U-16 Minor Midget Storm, as they fell 4-1 to the Airdrie/Cochrane Avalanche.

The Golden Arrow Bantam AAA Storm fell 4-2 in Lloydminster, as Carter Hensch and Cade Reber scored for the Storm.

And the Higson Dental Group Bantam AA Storm got a pair of goals from Jett Fogle in a 3-2 loss to Sherwood Park.
