Peace Country Female Midget Elite Storm

The PCFAC Storm hosted and defeated the AFHL’s top team: the Calgary Fire White, by a score of 3-2 in the shootout on Sunday at Coca-Cola Centre.

Jailyn Bablitz and Josee Stewart both picked up goals for the Storm, while goaltender Grace Lutz turned away 31 shots for the shootout victory.

The PCFAC Storm will now turn their attention to the Lloydminster Elite Steelers where they will play them in back to back games next weekend.

Saturday they’ll meet at 7:00 p.m. at the Crosslink County Sportsplex. Sunday’s game will go at 9:30 a.m. at the Coke Centre.

Ernie’s Sports Major Midget Storm

The Ernie’s Sports Major Midget Storm fell to the Lethbridge Hurricanes by a score of 2-1 on their second game of a back to back.

They won their game on Saturday over Lloydminster 4-1. That game was also played in Red Deer.

The Storm trailed for most of the game Sunday, but Dayne Tews picked up the lone goal for the Storm with under a minute left in the third period to bring the Storm within one.

The Storm will return home next weekend to face the Calgary Buffaloes and Red Deer Optimist Chiefs with both games starting at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday down at the Coca-Cola Centre.

Boston Pizza Minor Midget Storm

The Boston Pizza Minor Midget Storm fell to the CBHA Rangers 7-1 in Calgary.

Rhys Doyle scored the only goal for the Storm.

The team is now winless in their last six games. They will face the Maple Leafs Athletic Club this coming weekend for a pair of games at the Coke Centre.

Saturday’s game goes at 7:30 p.m. while Sunday’s goes at noon.

Golden Arrow Bantam AAA Storm

The Golden Arrow Bantam AAA GPAC Golden Arrow Storm traveled to Lloydminster to take on the Bobcats.

The Storm jumped out to an early 3-0 first period lead thanks to goals from Jaxon Young, Steel Bruke and Connor Bak.

The lead however was short lived as Lloyd battled back in the second and third periods with three unanswered goals to tie the game and help themselves earn the single point.

Vaughn Kaliel stopped a total of 42 shots in the game.

The team will have to wait a week until their next game as they are off until December 14th.
