Beaverlodge’s Geoff Walker and Team Gushue wrap up round robin at Brier

Beaverlodge product Geoff Walker and the rest of Team Gushue got back in the win column at the 2019 Brier Wednesday night with an 8-7 win over New Brunswick.

Now the defending Brier Champions will get ready for their final two games of the round robin on Wednesday.

In the morning draw, Team Canada will meet Nova Scotia and then conclude the round robin with a battle against Nunavut in the evening.

Walker’s Team Canada rink goes into Wednesday with a 4-1 record which is good for 2nd in Pool B behind Kevin Koe and Team Alberta who are 5-0.

Team Alberta meanwhile will play Nunavut this morning and Nova Scotia this evening.

The other rink with Alberta ties is Brendan Bottcher’s rink who is the Wild Card team.

They will battle Saskatchewan in the afternoon draw as they look to improve their 5-1 record.
