Kim died after being shot. He was found in an alley near an apartment building in High Level.

Guilty plea in stolen property, drug case

Alberta Justice says a man charged in a May drug arrest has been given a six-month jail sentence.

Shane Anthony Haugan pleaded guilty to a charge of possession of stolen property and a reduced charge of possession of precursors or equipment needed to make methamphetamine or ecstasy November 25 in Grande Prairie court. Nineteen other charges were withdrawn.

Haugan was charged after a May 10 search of a city home turned up a stolen vehicle, two firearms, other weapons, and small amounts of fentanyl, cocaine and methamphetamine.

Haugan will also stand trial for two other arrests April 25.

Charges there include flight from police and dangerous driving in one and assault with a weapon in another.
