Mark Robert Reid, resident of Webster, AB, passed away after a courageous battle with esophageal cancer at the QEII Hospital in Grande Prairie, on Friday, November 1, 2019, at the age of 55 years.
Mark was born in Red Deer, AB on September 5, 1964 to Bob and Myrtle Reid.
He was known to many as a cowboy and trucker. He had so many wonderful qualities that drew people to him. He impacted the lives of so many with his down-to-earth, humble ways. To know Mark was to love Mark. He was very proud of his off-grid house that he built and of living a simple carefree life. In his last years, he enjoyed river canoeing and kayaking, road trips, and travelling.
Mark will be sadly missed by his life partner Jo Ann Patrick and her children: Josee and Shawna; mother Myrtle Reid; brother Warren (Shelly) Kakoske and their children: Tynan and Teea; sister Shauna (Dennis) Johnson and their children: Baylee, Tulsa, and Jordan; brother Dale (Elaine) Reid and their children: Rylon and Kirsten; nephews Dylan and Tamis; niece Desirè; as well as many more family and friends.
He was predeceased by his father Bob Reid and brother Gregory Kakoske.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, November 15, 2019, at 2:00pm, at Clarkson Hall in Evergreen Park (55051 Township Rd 710, County of GP #1).
