Amie Romanoff (nee Hommy), formerly of Grande Prairie, AB, passed away on December 13, 2018, at the QEII Hospital in Grande Prairie, at the age of 83 years.
Amie was born on the Hommy farm at Gimley, AB. She was raised in Gimley, and married Mervin Romanoff from the Halcourt area and had three children: Arlie, Toni, and Randy. She worked in retail and later in life went back to school and became an accountant.
She loved singing, crocheting, knitting, cross-stitch, quilting, and painting landscapes. She spoke her mind, loved her grandchildren and bluegrass music.
She will be sadly missed by her children: Arlie (Larry) Kuny, Toni (Cole) Pomeroy, and Randy (Jocelyn) Romanoff; grandchildren: Sanna (Mike) Gardam, Linus Kulak, Timmothy (Ashely) Kulak, Joylynn Butler, Robin (Chad) Amy, Genesis (Mabel) Pasilan, Deborah (Ezekiel) Gonzoles; great-grandchildren: Gabriel Kitchen, Jacob Gardam, Chance Nesbit, Kylen Nesbit, Daiya Amy, Alaythia Amy, Felicity Amy, Elisha Pasilan, Daniel Pasilan, Bastian (Bryanna) Butler, Shaylee (Adrian Tilley) Butler, Parker Hetman; Brothers: Lincoln, Grant, Sidney and their wives; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her father Alexander Hommy; mother Toni Marie Hommy; husband Mervin Romanoff; brothers: Wilferd Hommy, C.M. Red Hommy, Blair Hommy; and sister Jeannette Miller.
A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, July 22, 2019, at 11:00am, at Albright Community Hall in Beaverlodge, AB.
