Madeline Larmand-Fitzpatrick, resident of Grande Prairie, formerly of Fort William, ON, passed away on Saturday, November 3, 2018, at the QEII Hospital, at the age of 61 years.
Madeline was born in Fort William, ON on February 8, 1957. She lived in Kelowna, spent her teen years in Kamloops and eventually settled in Grande Prairie.
She spent her time raising her kids and creating art. She enjoyed spending time with her grandkids and travelling to Newfoundland and Kelowna with Mike to visit family.
She was stubborn, outspoken, a hard worker, loving mother, devoted grandmother, and supportive wife. She loved painting and taught painting courses. She also enjoyed crafts, sewing, art, bingo and golf.
She will be sadly missed by her husband Michael Fitzpatrick; children: Crystal (Shawn) Canaday, Cherie (Robert) Canaday, Grant (Brittany) Landry, and Kasie (Jamie) Landry; stepsons: Nick (Amanda) Fitzpatrick, and Damien Hunt; grandchildren: Tara-Lee, Katie, Shawna, Sara, Chantel, Aidan, and Jackson; great-grandson Floyd McNeil; brothers: Paul Larmand, Scott Larmand, and Mark (Gayla) Larmand; and sister Lorrie (Jeffery) Ostrom.
She was predeceased by her mother June Stapleton, father Grant Larmand, and nephew Jeffery Ostrom III.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, November 10, 2018, at 10:30am, at Oliver’s Funeral Home (10005 107 Ave.).
