Former vice-principal found not guilty of charges related to inappropriate touching
A now-retired Grande Prairie vice-principal has been found not guilty of six criminal charges after three under-age students complained of inappropriate touching.
The charges were filed in relation to reported incidents that happened in April and May of 2018 at a Grande Prairie school.
A Grande Prairie court has ruled that it was not satisfied that a sexual assault had occurred, that the contact was sexual in nature, and that the Crown had failed to meet its burden to prove there was beyond a reasonable doubt.
A court-ordered publication ban prevents the reporting of any details of the case that might identify the victims.
