Kings continue to roll

Make it six straight wins for the County of Grande Prairie JDA Kings.

Tanner Davy had a goal and an assist to help pace the Kings to a 4-3 win over Dawson Creek on Saturday night.

Keaton Mercredi, Geoff Dick and Corbin Doram also scored for the Kings, who pulled to within four points of the Junior Canucks for fourth place in the NWJHL.

James Lalikeas, Brandon Rowley and Carter Maki replied for Dawson Creek.

Elsewhere last night, Fairview got goals from six different players en route to a 6-2 win over the Sundown Oilfield Services Sexsmith Vipers.

Dawson Blanchette, Spencer Bjorklund, Thomas Dechant, Cale Fox, Zacheri Schlachter and Eric Dentinger scored for the Flyers, who leap-frogged past Dawson Creek into third place with the win.

Austin Rushton and Turner Walker replied for the Vipers.

And the defending champion Fort St John Huskies continue to roll, as they beat north Peace 6-2 to open up a five point advantage over the Navigators for top spot in the league.

Joel Bourgeois and Nils Nemec each scored twice for the Huskies, while Nick loewen and Jared Winkel added singles.

Tulsen Fawcett and Dawson Briscoe replied for the Navigators.

There are two games in the league on Sunday, as the Huskies and Navigators meet again in Peace River, while the Kings host Fairview at 3 pm at Crosslink County Sportsplex.
