Senior Adrenaline Athletics Cheerleading Team wins first place at Inspire Championship in Edmonton
This past weekend in Edmonton, the senior Adrenaline Athletics Cheerleading Team took home first place at the Inspire Championship in the Senior co-ed 3 division. The junior team also participated in the tournament. They took home fifth place in the Junior 2 division at the tournament.
The senior team is made up of athletes from the age of 11-17 and the junior team is made up of athletes from ages 8-12.
The Inspire Championship in Edmonton is usually the first time that the club gets to see and compete against the top teams from across the province. So going into the competition there is a lot of unknown.
“Early competitions are always a bit of struggle in the sense that it’s always so early in the season and things are not polished,” said Jennifer Lekisch, the owner of Adrenaline Athletics. “I always say to my athletes that we’re not going there to win, we’re going there to learn.”
