Amber Alert issued for 14-month-old boy out of Brule

UPDATE (10:45 a.m. Dec 20): Alberta RCMP have confirmed that the father who is accused of abducting his 14-month-old son is considered armed and dangerous.

Following the Amber Alert which was sent out in the early hours of Friday morning, RCMP confirmed on social media that Cody Armstrong was in possession of a long barrel rifle, when he left his home in Brule with his son, Waylon, at around 2:30 a.m.

RCMP add that Waylon and his mother were at Cody’s home when an altercation took place, before Cody took off with Waylon.

Police ask that if you spot them, do not approach and call 911 immediately.

An Amber Alert has been issued for a 14-month-old boy, who was abducted this morning from his home in Brule, near Hinton.

Police say Waylon Armstrong was taken from home around 2:30 a.m. Friday by his father, Cody Armstrong.

Waylon is described as having blonde hair, brown eyes and wearing a one-sie with moose on them.

Cody is described as being 5’9″ tall, 170 lbs., having blonde hair and brown eyes. He was wearing a grey shirt with grey Stanfield long johns.

They were last seen driving a green 2002 GMC Sierra with the Alberta license plate BSF 3524.

Police ask that you do not approach if you spot them, and call them immediately. Any information in this case can be forwarded to the Hinton RCMP at 780-865-5544.
