Grande Prairie RCMP say two people are facing drug and weapons charges after what they call “a lengthy investigation.”

Mounties started an investigation in the fall into cocaine and methamphetamine trafficking.

The investigation culminated December 12 with the two arrests and a search of a home in the Avondale neighborhood.

Police seized 229 grams of methamphetamine, 46.5 grams of cocaine, 1.3 grams of fentanyl, 2.73 litres of GHB, more than $3000 cash, a rifle, and a revolver that had already been reported stolen.

Twila Letendre, 46, is facing a half dozen charges, including two of possession for the purpose of trafficking, possession of a controlled substance, possession of proceeds of crime under $5000, unauthorized possession of a firearm, and unsafe storage of a firearm.

Drew Terpsma, 24, is facing three counts of possession of a controlled substance and one of possession for purpose of trafficking.

They are both due in Grande Prairie court January 29.
