Andrew James Douglas, resident of Grande Prairie, AB, formerly of Red Deer, AB, passed away Friday, January 10, 2020, at home, at the age of 59 years.
James was born on December 4, 1960. He was born and raised in Red Deer. Until 2010, James worked as a carpenter and building inspector in Red Deer, Fort McMurray, Grande Prairie, and surrounding areas. He started a building inspection agency, Canadian Safety Consulting, in 2010. James’ greatest passion was ensuring that people had safe homes and businesses to work and live in.
He was outgoing, intelligent, business oriented, friendly, and cared deeply for his family. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, golf and travelling.
James will be sadly missed by Mary Bourne-Douglas; children Connor Douglas and Michael Bourne-Olchowski; grandchild Ashton Bourne; sister Arran Douglas; brother Richard Douglas; nieces: Kallee, Fallen, and Reagan; aunt Annie Ramage; uncle Donnie Ramage; as well as numerous cousins.
He was predeceased by his parents James Melvin Douglas and Catherine Douglas.
No funeral service will be held.
