Kings earn second win this week against Vipers

The County of Grande Prairie JDA Kings got goals from six different players en route to a 6-1 win over the Sundown Oilfield Services Sexsmith Vipers on Friday night.

Tanner Davy, Darby Berg, Justin Rudyk, Bailey Hartman, Kyle Sha and Brody Thomson scored for the Kings, who held period leads of 1-0 and 4-1.

Wyatt Collins had the lone goal for the Vipers.

It was a fiesty affair, as the teams combined for 196 minutes in penalties.

The other game in the NWJHL on Friday saw Cale Fox score the game winner with 9:45 left in the third, as Fairview edged the North Peace Navigators 4-3.

Kyle Cairns, Dawson Blanchette and Dillon Wagner also scored for the Flyers, who moved into a third place tie with Dawson Creek thanks to the win.

Cole Ford, Tulsen Fawcett and Phoenix Dumas replied for the hometown Navigators.

There are two games on Saturday’s schedule, as Fairview heads to Fort St John, while North Peace hosts Dawson Creek.
