Brady Marzocco and Jared Loewen each scored twice while Jeridyn Loewen had a goal and five assists as the Fort St John Huskies doubled up the County of Grande Prairie JDA Kings 8-4 on Saturday night.

Nick Loewen, Gary Loewen and Aiden Tegart also scored for the Huskies, while Keaton Mercredi, Corbin Doram, Kyle Chalifoux and Darby Berg replied for the Kings.

The other game in the NWJHL on Saturday saw Rylee Hebert score in the fourth round of the shoot out to give the Fairview Flyers a 3-2 win over the Sundown Oilfield Services Sexsmith Vipers.

Kyle Cairns and Logan Mazerolle scored for the Flyers in regulation, while Kail Magnusson and Wyatt Collins replied for the Vipers.

The North Peace Hockey League season wrapped up on Saturday with a pair of games.

Matt Schmermund, Jeff Taylor, Brett Norman and Evan Weaver each scored twice as the Dawson Creek Canucks wrapped up a first place season with a convincing 14-2 win over the Manning Comets.

Braden Allkins, Owen LaClair, Kevin Hope, Ryan Friesen, Jonathan Jasper and Spencer Gover also scored for the Canucks, while Dalton Ducharme and Spencer Gover replied for the Comets.

The other game saw Ty Wiebe score twice to lead the Grimshaw Huskies to a 5-3 win over the Falher Pirates.

Brendan Hawryluk, Mitch Topping and Michael Bayrack also scored for the Huskies, while Robbie Sidhu, Dallas Brochu and Jacob Anderson replied for the Pirates.

Saturday was also a busy day for Grande Peace Athletic Club teams.

The Ernie’s Sports Experts Major Midget Storm got goals from 8 different players in an 8-1 win over Airdrie.

Ty Toews, Landon Hedges, Ethan Boutcher, Kaden Reinders, Cameron Mclean, Jayden Watson, Cam Wiebe and Austyn Hansen all scored for the Storm.

Ty Doucette scored twice to lead the Boston Pizza U-16 AAA Storm to a 5-4 win over the KC Centennials.

Rhys Doyle, Brody West and Adam Morrow also scored for the Storm.

The Golden Arrow Bantam AAA Storm played to a 2-2 tie against SSAC, as Jaxon Young and Zackary Shantz scored for the Storm.

Fort Saskatchewan doubled up the Midget AA Storm 6-3, as Mason Kyllo, Aiden Brown and Tyson Hann scored for the Storm.

And the Higson Dental Group Bantam AA Storm picked up a 5-2 win in Peace River, with Jett Fogle, Austin Boyd, Nathan Sanregret, Kyle Lefebvre and Bowen Grycan providing the goals.

Lastly, the Bonnett’s Energy PCFAC Female Bantam Elite Storm picked up a 2-1 win in Lloydminster, with Kamryn Aebly and Danika Aubin scoring for the Storm.
