Pirates extend season, Midget Storm on verge of elimination

Darren Kramer is doing everything he can to keep the Falher Pirates season going. 

The former Grande Prairie Storm captain and Manitoba Moose forward recorded his second hat trick of the series to power the Pirates to a 4-2 win over the Grande Prairie Athletics in game five of their NPHL semi final series. 

Darren Brochu also scored for the Pirates, who erased a 2-0 first period deficit to pull to within 3 games to 2 in the series. 

Andrew Buote and Mackenzie Caron scored for the Athletics, who will host game six on Tuesday night. 

The Ernie’s Sports Experts GPAC Major Midget Storm have a steep hill to climb if they hope to keep their season going. 

The Storm fell 3-0 at home to the Fort Saskatchewan Rangers in game two of their AMHL North Division semi final series. 

The Rangers are now up 2-0 in ther best of five series, with game 3 set for Sunday afternoon in Fort Saskatchewan.
