Peace Wapiti Academic Awards will be given out on Thursday

Several students from the Peace Wapiti Public School Division will receive Academic Awards this week.

Superintendent Bob Stewart says during the Board Meeting on Thursday, February 20, they will hand out the annual Student Award of Excellence.

“What we do there is we invite all the students who excelled academically at their schools. They come in and we recognize and reward them.”

The winners don’t just get recognition, but a cash prize as well. The top performing student in the whole Peace Wapiti School Division will win $300 cash, and the rest will receive $100.

This year, 15 students are being recognized for their academic excellence.
