GPRC Men’s basketball picks up win in Edmonton

It was the Liam O’Hallahan show Saturday afternoon in Edmonton.

O’Hallahan poured in 48 points to lead the GPRC men’s basketball team to a 100-94 overtime win over King’s University college.

Darian Goertzen added 15 points for the Wolves while Noe Tchomo chipped in with 14.

The women’s basketball team meanwhile got 15 points from Caitlin Paul in a 54-44 loss to King’s.

Volleyball matches between the two schools went at GPRC gym, with the GPRC men letting a two games to none lead slip away, falling in five games to King’s. (26-28, 19-25, 25-21, 25-19, 16-14).

Ethan Nashim had 20 points (12 kills, 6 blocks, 2 service aces) for the Wolves while Tom Wheeler added 16 points (9 kills, 5 blocks, 2 service aces).

The women from GPRC were swept in three straight by King’s (25-15, 25-18, 25-17), as Megan Fowler scored 12 points (10 kills, 1 block, 1 service ace) for the Wolves.
