Feb 23, 2020 | 6:25 PM

UPDATE (6:52 p.m., Feb 23): The Town of Beaverlodge says water service has been restored to a majority of residents Sunday evening. Amisk Court, the Health Unit and EMS, along with the High School, are still without water and Public Works will be resume working Monday morning to restore service.

PWPSD also adds that Jr. High students who will be taking the bus to Hythe from Beaverlodge will be picked up at Beaverlodge Elementary on Monday due to the on-going water issue at the High School.

The Peace Wapiti Public School Division says Beaverlodge Regional High School will be closed all day on Monday due to a water service disruption.

In a release on the town’s website dated February 22, they say the Public Works department is working to have a water main issue resolved, hopefully by Sunday evening. The town office also posted an update on the situation Sunday afternoon.

Beaverlodge residents from 4th Avenue to Highway 43, up to 10A Street may experience a disruption to their water supply while crews work to repair the issue.

At this time it is not known what caused the break. More updates will be provided as they become available.
