Town of Beaverlodge continues to work on water main issue

The Town of Beaverlodge says Public Works is continuing to work on a water main break issue.

On Monday night, the Town said the break had been repaired and that they would begin pressuring up the water lines with ultra-chlorinated water for a period until chlorine readings came within an approved range.

Tuesday afternoon, the Town posted an update to their Facebook page saying the water flow could not be restored due to unsatisfactory readings of chlorine residuals.

A map was also provided, highlighting the affected areas.

Beaverlodge Regional High School closed for Monday, February 23 and Tuesday, February 24, as the work continued. An update on the school is to be provided Wednesday morning.
