They were the top two teams in the North West Junior Hockey League regular season.

So it seems only fitting that the Fort St John Huskies and the North Peace Navigators get to meet each other to determine the league’s 2019-2020 champion.

The regular season champion Huskies completed a four game sweep of the Fairview Flyers in their semi final series with a 4-2 win on Friday night.

Dawson Phillips, Jared Winkel, Teagan McMullen and Jared Loewen scored for the Huskies, while Thomas Dechant and Logan Mazerolle replied for the Flyers.

Meanwhile, Theo Cunningham recorded a hat trick as the Navigators got by the Dawson Creek Junior Canucks 5-3 to win their semi final series 4 games to 1.

Cole isaac had the other two goals for North Peace, while Dustin Bahm, Braden Streich, and Tanner Bahm replied for the Canucks.

No dates have been announced yet for the league final.
