Tough day for PCFAC teams, Midget AA season ends

The 2019-20 season came to an end on Saturday for two local rep hockey teams.

The Bonnett’s PCFAC Female Bantam Elite Storm dropped a 3-2 decision to Sherwood Park to fall in two straight games in their North Division semi final series.

Rylee Mcleod and Molly Hamilton scored for the Storm in the loss.

Meanwhile, the PCFAC Female Midget Elite Storm will have to play a third and deciding game in their North division semi final series with the Edmonton Pandas after dropping a 2-1 decision in Edmonton on Saturday.

Marissa Coulter had the lone goal for the Female midget Storm.

The Midget AA Storm saw their NAHL season come to an end on Saturday in Peace River, as they fell 5-2 to the host Royals in the final round robin game of the Milltech Group Division 1 playoff tournament.

Jaydon Gordey and Kjelt Sandboe scored for the Storm, who finished the tournament with a 1-1-1 record.

Peace River will meet Fort McMurray in the tournament final.
