Athletics take series lead after convincing road win

The Grande Prairie Athletics have wrestled home ice advantage in the North Peace Hockey League final away from the Dawson Creek Canucks.
The A’s broke open a close 1-0 affair with four goals in the second period, en route to an 8-3 win over the Canucks in the Mile Zero city on Saturday night, taking a 2 games to 1 lead in the series in the process.
Sam Bosek scored twice and added an assist to lead the Grande Prairie attack, while Adam Boytinck and Parker Sharp also added a pair of goals each.
Morgan Eaton and Tanner Labbe also scored for the A’s, while Kevin Swales, Brett Norman and Wesley Shipton replied for the Canucks.
