GPPWFL temporarily ceases league operations amid Coronavirus concerns

The Grande Prairie Pee Wee Football league has decided to temporarily cease all league operations, over concerns regarding the Coronavirus.

That means there will be no practices, in-person registrations, or other league-related meetings or gatherings – including equipment handout.

Officials say the decision was made after consultations with the league’s insurance provider, as well as a conference call with officials from Football Alberta.

They add the season is not cancelled at this time, but any parent wishing to withdraw their child from the league over health concerns can do so by emailing gppwfl@hotmail.com – attention Jodianne Noel.

Meanwhile, Football Alberta has announced that this year’s Senior Bowl for graduating high school football players has been cancelled.

Selection camps for the 31st annual game were supposed to take place in early April
