One arrest made in Whitefish First Nation attempted murder case

One person has been apprehended by High Prairie RCMP after an attempted murder on February 12 in Whitefish First Nation.

On March 16, High Prairie RCMP, with assistance from the RCMP Metis Enhanced Unit, located and arrested Bobby Fawn Auger, who was wanted on warrants for attempted murder.

High Prairie RCMP are still searching for 26-year-old Venessia Katelynn Cardinal, who is also wanted on a warrant in connection to the attempted murder.

The public is asked not to approach Cardinal as she is considered armed and dangerous, and RCMP are asking anyone with information on Cardinal’s current whereabouts to contact the High Prairie RCMP at 780-523-3370 or to make an anonymous report through Crime Stoppers.
