Province adds 70 new COVID-19 cases, over 300 recoveries Wednesday
One of the two active cases of COVID-19 in the City of Grande Prairie is reported to have recovered Wednesday, as the province added 70 new cases for May 6.
This means there is now one active case, while three have recovered in the Swan City as of Wednesday. There remains one active case in the County of Grande Prairie, while four have recovered.
Eight of the new cases reported in Alberta Wednesday were in the North Zone. An updated total among Peace Region municipalities can be found below:
- City of Grande Prairie: Four cases (One active, three recovered)
- County of Grande Prairie: Five cases (One active, four recovered)
- M.D. of Greenview: Two cases (One active, one recovered)
- M.D. of Smoky River: 67 cases (18 active, 39 recovered, ten deaths)
- Big Lakes County: 38 cases (11 active, 24 recovered, two deaths)
- M.D. of Lesser Slave River: Six cases (One active, five recovered)
- Northern Sunrise County: Three cases (All recovered)
- M.D. of Peace: Seven cases (All recovered)
- Clear Hills County: One case (Fatal)
- County of Northern Lights: One case (Recovered)
- Mackenzie County: 30 cases (11 active, 19 recovered)
