RCMP investigating structure fire in Peace River
The Peace Regional RCMP are investigating the circumstances surrounding a fire that occurred at an abandoned forestry compound in Peace River on May 2 at 103 street between 111 and 114 avenues.
Upon arrival by fire crews at around 8 p.m. that evening, an outbuilding at the southern end of the lot was found to be involved in a fire which required firefighting efforts to bring the fire under control.
The investigation remains on-going at this time and police are seeking public assistance in identifying any suspicious behavior in and around the compound in the hours leading up to the fire.
RCMP are asking that any residents with video surveillance systems or dash cams review their footage and contact with the detachment in the event that any suspicious activity was captured.
