Resident of High Prairie continuing care home dies from COVID-19
Alberta Health says another resident from the J.B. Wood continuing care facility in High Prairie has died from COVID-19, as 22 new cases were identified across Alberta for May 26.
The fatality was identified by Alberta Health to EverythingGP as a woman in her 80’s, becoming the 16th resident of the North Zone to die from COVID-19. A total of 139 people in Alberta have died as of Tuesday.
There are now 714 active cases of COVID-19 in Alberta, with 19 of those cases being in Northern Alberta. There are now 6,048 people that have recovered, 200 of which come from the North Zone.
