Grande Prairie RCMP investigating fatal collision

Grande Prairie RCMP are investigating a fatal collision that occurred on Wednesday afternoon at the intersection of Highway 670 and Range Road 51.
A preliminary investigation into the crash, which happened at around 3:50 p.m. Wednesday, suggests that a pickup truck was travelling southbound on Range Road 51 and failed to stop at a stop sign. The truck then collided with a SUV travelling westbound on Highway 670.
The 61-year-old male driver of the pickup truck was pronounced deceased at the scene of the accident.
An adult male and female, as well as a youth inside the SUV, were transported to hospital with serious injuries. Two other youths inside the SUV were transported to hospital with minor injuries.
