East end trailer suffers significant damage after Friday evening fire

Nobody was injured after fire ripped through a mobile home on the east side of Grande Prairie on Friday night.

Grande Prairie fire department responded to the call with two engines, a ladder unit and a command unit, saying the fire was well established within the trailer and it’s contents when they arrived.

People in the home at the time the fire started were able to get out safely, but the blaze did cause extensive damage to the home, as well as minor damage to a neighbouring property.

Exact damage amounts are not known yet, and investigators are looking into the cause.
