Bertha armyworm infestations low in the Peace Country
Jul 15, 2020 | 2:05 PM
Alberta Agriculture says infestations of Bertha armyworms are low in just about all of the spots it is monitoring in the Peace Country.
There is one exception, about halfway between McLennan and Valleyview, where the infestation is considered medium. 671 moths were caught in a trap at one point.
Anything from zero to 300 is considered low, which means infestations are not likely widespread.
Three hundred to 900 is considered medium and infestations may not be widespread, but some fields may be infested.
